The history of The Great Kei River runs as deep as it is long. It separates two of the Apartheid Bantustans or Homelands which were The Transkei and The Ciskei, it translates to “This side of the Kei” and “That side of the Kei”. This bridge was the border post between the illegitimate nation states.
I had to go to Port St John’s as the President was visiting the disaster affected areas of the recent floods. The damage and destruction mother nature can create is quite intense and insane.
I wanted to see what Smiley’s world from his perspective, and as seeing that he visits his Grandpa every Sunday at 3PM this was a great opportunity to get his Point of View of life.
